INDX Cold Pull

Generates a guided cold-pull procedure for the Prusa CORE One INDX, to clear a partially clogged nozzle. Prusa's built-in wizard (M1702) is not enabled for INDX, so there is no in-firmware equivalent.

Do these at the printer first.

Most are menu-only settings that can neither be read nor set over G-code, so nothing here can check them for you, and each fails silently rather than loudly. The filament-type item is the exception: that one is a change the procedure makes to your printer's saved settings, and you need to know it is coming.

Settings

80 °C is the field-verified pull temperature; raise in 5–10 °C steps only if the plug will not release. Flush is capped at 290 because the firmware clamps settable targets there. These are INDX-frame values — its sensor sits 17 mm above the tip and reads high, so do not substitute numbers from MK4 or XL guides.

What it does

Pick toolHeating requires a latched tool, so the pick must come first.
Flush~60 mm of PLA at the flush temperature to displace old material.
PackSmall extrusions while cooling toward 180 °C, so the plug casts the nozzle interior.
Deep coolFan-assisted to 60 °C with a fixed dwell, so the plug grips the debris.
PullReheat to the pull temperature in two stages to avoid overshoot, raise motor current, retract 80 mm hard.
RestoreUndo every session change: motor current, extrusion guard, stall detection — and, over USB Serial, the filament type.
Wipe & dockRewarm the nozzle so residue releases instead of dragging cold strings, then dock automatically — no manual parking. The USB-file route also gets the firmware's end-of-print wastebin wipe, warm.

Prompts appear on the printer's screen and wait for a knob press — six in all: confirm setup, insert the PLA (not before), start the purge (from here, watch the nozzle tip for melted PLA flowing out), confirm what came out, start the pull, remove the strand. Success looks like three thin strands with visible dark debris; repeat until the tip comes out clean, then re-enable the filament sensor, refit the PTFE tube, and put the nozzle's filament type back.
